What country are you from?

SO, ya... be nice. We don't all have to agree about what the world should be like. I personally think the world should be an awesome place. :-)
....and no offense to anyone, but please keep the bible thumping out of it. I'm just not up to explaining how incredibly stastitically improbably it is that the earth is 6000-ish years old.

San Francisco, CA, USA here

I grew up on a lake in the woods of Wisconsin. There were only about 300 people living there (not even really a town). When I was 18 I moved to Columbus, Ohio to find work. Finally I have settled with my wife and daughter in San Francisco, California. I've lived here for 15 years now.

It's the opposite of where I grew up in many ways (very dense population here), but there are some amazingly beautiful places here as well (Golden Gate Recreation Area, Lake Tahoe area, Yosemite National Park).

Right now I am in Chiang Mai, Thailand on a 2 month adventure :)

Dang it, I was reading along thinking I might be the first but there ya go. I am a Kiwi though, but you may as well call me an Aussie, been here 96.29% of my life. I am living in sunny Queensland on a lovely 2 acres which is kinda like living in suburbia but with really big blocks and heaps of room to move. I have dreams of selling up here then taking the profits and buying cheap land further out living off the grid and being self sufficient in every way, ie. food, water and electricity. I'll see how I go talking the wife around. She's a teacher, maybe one day I could start a community somewhere remote like Jaimie's Island idea but inland (less cyclone activity, more predictable weather) and my wife could be the teacher for all the kids. But enough rabbiting on from me.

I live in the USA but I plan to move away from here when I am older, and to the northern Europe area. I am a student, still confused as what my plans are, job wise in my future.

<Dr. Nick accent> Hi everybody!!! </Dr. Nick accent>. I'm from Australia too, there seems to be a fair few people from here as-well.. I was born in the south of England and came over to this country when i was twelve. I currently work as a WWOOF-er (if not sure ask) on a farm called purple pear. Yet to see any purple pears.

The site for Purple Pear (just because i can):

You know... when you eat potatoes, and they absorb all the moisture on the way down, and get stuck and uncomfy, then you have to take a drink, and it kinda hurts, but then suddenly... blessed relief. mmmmm...

HAHAHAHA This is just too funny.

I'm from the good ol' US of A. I'm not fat though. I'm a runner, ran through college. I work for PPG currently, as a paint chemist. (fun... ) But am going back to school in the fall (hopefully) to (hopefully) study biocomputers. You know, computers based on molecules and stuff instead of bits and bytes. (Not to mention that, if perfected, could solve a TON of problems).
