Hey guys,
I recently bought these solar cells. I THOUGHT they were the type that you have to tab with flat "wire" and hook together that way, but they don't look like they can be soldered to.

Here are some pictures.





Any ideas? It looks like they are clamped to on the sides. But I tried touching the spots with a multimeter and I got nothin. (In the sun of course).

Tons of videos on youtube about it.

Interesting. On some I have seen you tab them on the back.

Yes, I've seen those, but mine don't have soldering points on the back like the ones in those videos do. So sure I can soldering the tabbing wire to the front, but I can't hook them together.

Suddenly I am very glad I decided to get mine pre-tabbed.

Ah ok. That's not as bad as I thought. I'm just pi... angry that I didn't know this before hand. Once I scrape the stuff off the back I should be able to solder to it too. (At least I'll try).

I'm going to incase mine in some kind of epoxy resin, so I don't have to worry about them coming loose.

I'm happier now that I know I can actually use them. And cause I already bought lots of tabbing wire haha.

And now I'm upset that I sent a... sorta not really angry e-mail to the company that sold them to me. More of an "I'm upset" e-mail, cause they didn't have any pictures of the back of the cells.

Ok, no I'm glad I got upset originally. It was the company's fault. They forgot to send me metal clips that attach to the cells.

UGH!! What is with company's forgetting to send me stuff recently? (Second time this has happened to me in the past month or so.)

Ok well, I got the clips they were talking about...

I have NO idea what to do with them.

Here's a pic of one of the clips... I got like 81 of them..


Any help?
