Microcontrollers: For (absolute) beginners.

Show off your projects, ask about others, talk about mine, whatever. Ask for help, or just say, Wooo, thats cool.

Second video uploading now... it's kinda big... so it might take a while... I'll definitely have the link up by tomorrow morning. (It says 405 minutes to upload it now  ) lol

In this video I pretty much wired up the programmer and explained things about the breadboard and programmer etc. Next video will be writing a simple program and PROGRAMMING IT!!!

On another note, my solar cells got here today!!!

One interesting thought on the programming. I an embedded product once and noticed someone inserted an a call to exit(). It tickled me because my response was where do you think you are going to exit to?

There is no operating system on these chips, so every program starts with an infinite loop.

Hahaha, that's funny. You get used to the infinite loop thing though. It seems like you've had some experience in this! It'd be great to be able to bounce ideas off of you (and I'm sure you'll correct my programming).

Just like my circuits, my programs work, but they may not be right.

Haha true. I think I'm going to order some small motors and stuff (I need to order solar cell tabbing wire anyway) so I can actually make something in my videos. And I'll be able to demonstrate the techniques in my programs.

Always remember that the only people that don't make mistakes are those that aren't doing anything. I have made plenty in my lifetime.

Only 285 minutes to go (and 330 to process it). Maybe I should make the video smaller/less quality next time... hahahaha
