How to make plastic look like metal

^_^ yay accidently I found away to make em look like metal things :
Image
U need to buy any silver paint , or chrome, or gold , then use some smooth paper (glossy) and paint it with some spray on it ^ ^
Then take this painted piece of paper and there u go -> u have a 'fake sandpaper' that will show edges of objects as scratched metal parts XD IT looks damn realistic seriously , better in this picture XD
dont use it too much , just think before- where this plastic thing have edges that can get scratched , mostly they are just all edges around main body and presets etc, be carefull if u painted if like me before with some paint to not take off paint , do a nice slow moves , no rush, carefully, no power is needed here ^ ^ , and after few smooth bites it will reveal a metal fake look a like ^ ^ u can safe it with some varnish. I also added a layer of varnish betweeen black paint and sandy metal bocouse i didnt knew i wolud do sucha thing.
( how did i notice that? i just painted my camera body, and i thought, maybe i can use this paper that is painted (as a shield) fo r sometihng more than a trash..and yes i can XD Awsomeeeeeeee)

^ ^ cheers

edit :

woah i found that wet paint make even more realistic look ! XD WOW
this is a method to do stronger scars - use fresh paint not dried , like this :

its my grip from my camera, now look PRO not like a plastic anymore,( by PRO i mean more Fallout look a like XD postapocalyptic things ^_^ yay )

Sweet, that does look cool and would work for other materials as well I'm guessing.
